🦖🇯🇵 AO Racing is taking Rexy’s samurai ancestor, “Bushi Rex,” to Japan for its Intercontinental GT Challenge debut at the 50th Suzuka 1000km. The wild red-and-white No. 8 Porsche 911 GT3 R will compete September 11–13 under the AO by Absolute banner, combining AO Racing with experienced Asian powerhouse Absolute Racing. Bushi Rex is officially described as the ancient samurai ancestor of AO’s fan-favorite dinosaur Rexy, with “Bushi” (武士) translating to warrior or samurai in Japanese. Behind the wheel will be Porsche factory drivers Laurin Heinrich, Alessio Picariello and Julien Andlauer, giving the car a legitimately stacked Pro-class lineup. Heinrich already has serious history with AO, having helped take Rexy to the 2024 IMSA GTD Pro championship.
