Why Polish Before PPF? This Mercedes came in with only a few miles on it, but that doesn’t mean the paint was perfect. Before installing PPF, we carefully inspected the paint and performed a light polish to remove minor imperfections and improve the finish. PPF is designed to protect the paint, so we want the surface looking its best before the film goes on. Once PPF is installed, those imperfections are underneath the film and much harder to address.
