Four years ago today, someone from my past convinced me to meet a rescue puppy named Stevie. I said we didn’t need a third dog. She was right. We brought him home, renamed him Waylon and I took him everywhere with me. To work, on the road and offroad in the Jeep, wherever I went, he went. Life eventually changed, but Waylon never left my side. We’ve both moved on and built happy lives, and I can look back now with gratitude because that chapter gave me the best friend I never knew I needed. Every night, regardless of the weather, the time or what kind of day we’ve had, there will always be time for fetch. Happy four years, Waylon. I love you, buddy. @fightingchancerescue
