The Mazda CX-50 is a fantastic midsize SUV, especially in hybrid trim. With the powertrain from the previous generation RAV4 hybrid, one of the most reliable and fuel efficient SUVs, the Mazda CX-50 gives you Mazda good looks and dynamics with Toyota fuel economy. There are some drawbacks, though. The Mazda CX-50 has a tiny backseat, so it's not ideal for growing families, and cargo space is also on the small side. But because this is the midsize SUV class, the differences are pretty small. Given the choice, many people might prefer the Mazda CX-50 style and handling over the larger space of the RAV4, Honda CR-V, or Hyundai Tucson.
