🔥 BMW owners are about to get one of the wildest infotainment upgrades yet: Crunchyroll is coming directly to select BMW dashboards. Crunchyroll announced a new collaboration with automotive app platform Appning by FORVIA, with BMW and MINI among the first brands getting the integration. Instead of mirroring content from your phone, Crunchyroll will be available directly through compatible connected-car infotainment systems. The app opens access to Crunchyroll’s massive catalog of more than 50,000 episodes and films totaling over 25,000 hours of anime. There is one major catch: video is designed to play only while the vehicle is parked, with playback stopping once the car is shifted into drive. For EV owners sitting at chargers, people waiting in parking lots, or anyone killing time before a meet, that actually gives the feature a pretty obvious use case. In BMW vehicles, Appning already powers the in-car app store and wider digital ecosystem rather than this being a simple standalone screen-mirroring featur
