The Mercedes EQS SUV is perhaps the closest rival of the new Genesis GV90. Even better, the Maybach version of the EQS is the direct rival of the Neolun version of the Genesis. They both play in the super luxury F-SUV segment with lots of chrome design elements and a refined interior. The Mercedes-Maybach EQS was revealed in April 2023 as the super luxury version of the regular EQS SUV. It is then, one of the four models offered by Maybach. It features the weird shapes that have penalized its sales. Actually, it is likely to be discontinued without a direct successor. Despite the lack of appetite for ultra-luxury electric vehicles, Hyundai’s Genesis decided to bet on the GV90 with only one powertrain: electric. This is a risk move because it makes it even more niche. However, it has everything to shine in its small world.
