Audi brings back the iconic A2 to life 21 years after the first generation was discontinued. It is now 50 cm longer, fully electric, and more expensive. Design wise, the new Audi A2 e-tron gets inspiration from the first generation, but with a lot of differences. The bigger proportions make it look more like a crossover/C-Hatch than a B-MPV. It is made in Germany and is based on the updated VW Group’s Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB+). It is then closely related to the Volkswagen ID.3. Based on its dimensions, it sits somewhere in the middle between the C-Hatchs Nissan Leaf (4,350 mm), Smart (4,400 mm), Kia EV4 hatchback (4,430 mm), and the small C-SUVs such as the Volvo EC40 (4,440 mm). Is it a correct interpretation of the evolution of the Audi A2?
