We always hear about the demand of battery electric vehicles (BEV) in Europe. But what about the offer? What is it available now? How big is the BEV choice and models you can buy? Which carmaker and brand has the wider BEV lineup? And where are the BEVs available in Europe being produced? In this chart I tried to gather the data for all the 287 models powered by fully electric engines that are available today in Europe (it includes upcoming ones like the Bentley Torcal, Fiat Grizzly, Nissan Pixo). Unsurprisingly, most of the offer is concentrated in the SUV segments with 133 models. They go from the small Jeep Avenger up to the massive Nio EL8. Surprisingly, Stellantis and not Volkswagen led the way in terms of models offered. Peugeot with 10, Opel with 9, and Citroen and Fiat with 8 each contributed to a big part of this result.
