It all started as a JV between Mercedes and Swatch and then turned to be a solo project from the German maker. By the third generation, Mercedes decided to join forces with Renault to develop the 5-door version using the Twingo’s platform. It is back after two years of absence with the same cool and unique design and solutions. It has more Chinese DNA than ever after the acquisition of 50% of smart's stake by Geely.
