We took an 8-day, 1400 kilometre road trip throughout Portugal in the all-electric Nissan LEAF. Thank you @nissanportugal and @nissancanada for lending us the car. We started in Lisbon to pick up the car but headed straight north on out first leg to Porto. That first day we relied on app maps to tell us when and where to charge the car. Arriving in Porto we were happy to find charging in the parkade at our hotel. A few days in Porto and it was time to head to Nazaré. This is a place we discovered watching the documentary called “100 foot wave” it’s where big wave surfers come from all over the world so we were so stoked to see it first hand. That was another 215 km on the odometer and again, the hotel had a an EV charger. Then it was time to go South to the Algarve. By this time we realized the highways in Portugal have rest stops about every 50 km and every single one of them had tons of EV chargers so there was no more mapping out our charging!
