🏆 Kimi Antonelli is the 2026 Formula 1 World Champion, and at 20 years and 68 days old he’s the youngest champion in the history of the sport. ⠀ He clinched it today at the Mexico City Grand Prix, where third place behind Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton was all he needed. ⠀ That smashes Sebastian Vettel’s record of 23 years and 134 days, set in 2010. ⠀ Nine Grand Prix wins this season let him wrap up the title with four races still to go. ⠀ He’s also the first Italian to win the championship since Alberto Ascari in 1953. ⠀ And he got to celebrate on a podium with Verstappen and Hamilton, which means 12 world titles were standing up there together. ⠀ Max’s four include a record 19 wins from 23 Grands Prix in one season, while Lewis’ seven match Michael Schumacher’s record and Lewis sits top of the all-time lists for wins and poles. ⠀ Can Kimi ever catch Lewis’ seven, or is Max coming straight back for title number five? ⠀ ⠀ FOLLOW ➡️ for more F1 history in the making! 🏁 ⠀
