🕷️🏎️ Fernando Alonso’s F1 career has officially spanned three live-action Spider-Man eras, starting before Tobey Maguire ever put on the suit. Alonso debuted for Minardi in 2001, while Maguire’s first Spider-Man film did not arrive until May 2002. During the Tobey era, Alonso rose with Renault and won back-to-back World Championships in 2005 and 2006. When Andrew Garfield took over as Spider-Man in 2012, Alonso was in the middle of one of his greatest Ferrari seasons, missing the championship to Sebastian Vettel by just three points. Garfield’s run lined up almost perfectly with the closing years of Alonso’s Ferrari chapter, which ended after 2014. Tom Holland debuted as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War in 2016, while Alonso was still grinding through the McLaren era.
