Status ≠ the inability to be humble. This is something I wish I was told when I was in middle school and highschool all the way till I was graduating my senior year and constantly getting left out of group chats and pretending like I didn’t know, getting told I had to sit at a different table because the other seats at lunch were reserved for more popular people and just overall having it made blatantly obvious that I was unwanted in group settings. At the end of the day their level of popularity didn’t carry them through life. The popularity ended when their diploma was handed to them and the only thing that was left was empty friendships based on surface level qualities.
