The Mazda CX-50 hybrid is a fantastic SUV in many ways, but if there's one complaint that people have regarding most Mazdas, such as the CX-30, the CX-5 (even the new CX-5), and the CX-50, it's that rear seat space is often lacking. As you can see here, the driving position in the Mazda CX-50 hybrid is great, but as a tall guy, it renders the backseat completely useless. Keep that in mind when purchasing a midsize SUV. In this case, if you want to stay in this class of vehicle, you'd be better off in a Honda CR-V or the Mazda CX-50 hybrid's twin, the Toyota RAV4.
