The cleverly-engineered 2028 Volvo XC40 (arriving early 2027) brings design refinements, updated tech, and additional safety improvements. The new XC40 features a new take on Volvo's signature Thor's Hammer LED Daytime running lights as well as some modernized taillights. The refreshed exterior includes all-new panels in front of the a-pillar with a familiar but modern take that's distinctly Volvo, including a new evolution to Volvo's signature Thor's Hammer daytime running lights. The XC40 also receives subtle interior upgrades with a larger 11-inch touchscreen that comes with built-in Gemini. The XC40 also receives an updated sensor suite with improvements to its driver-assist tech that can now perform lane changes while bringing more improvements with time via over-the-air updates.
