⚡️ Volkswagen has just revealed the most powerful production GTI in its 50-year history, and for the first time, it’s fully electric. The new ID.3 GTI sends 240 kW, or 326 PS, and 545 Nm of torque directly to the rear wheels. That also makes it the first rear-wheel-drive Volkswagen GTI, marking a major departure from the front-wheel-drive formula traditionally associated with the badge. Launch Control helps it accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 200 km/h. A 79 kWh battery provides a forecast WLTP range of up to 601 km, while DC fast charging peaks at 183 kW and can take the battery from 10 to 80 percent in around 29 minutes. Volkswagen has also fitted an adaptive DCC sports chassis, progressive steering, a dedicated GTI driving mode and new 20-inch Wörthersee wheels.
