Nissan has just presented the 2027 Rogue, aka X-Trail in the global markets, as an all-new generation. I was not sure about it. The design is very different featuring new sets of headlights and taillights, a new grille, and a redesigned interior. However, when looking into the detail I found out that it is nothing different from a deep restyling. The 2027 Rogue features the same wheelbase dimension and the same platform as the model that was presented in April 2021. Besides, the current one is only 5 years old, and Nissan is not in a position to come up with an all-new generation in such a short period of time. Therefore, it is one more example of what the brand has been doing to its current lineup. The Versa, Altima, and Kicks (turned into Kait) went through the same operation. It is a good way to keep the products relevant and fresh without spending a lot of money on the update. The Rogue gains presence and looks more modern and ready to face the latest generation Toyota RAV4. Will it succeed?
