🔊🎧 Toyota’s new GR GT3 sounds absolutely vicious being pushed around the Nürburgring. The purpose-built race car is being developed to FIA GT3 regulations as Toyota prepares to take on some of the biggest manufacturers in global GT racing. Underneath the massive aero package sits a newly developed 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 sending power to the rear wheels. Toyota has not announced its final output, with GT3 performance ultimately being controlled through Balance of Performance regulations anyway. The prototype is incredibly low and wide, measuring roughly 4,785 mm long, 2,050 mm wide and just 1,090 mm tall. Its enormous rear wing, front splitter, vents and diffuser make it immediately distinguishable from the road-going GR GT that shares its underlying architecture. Toyota has been putting the platform through extensive development at circuits around the world, including Fuji Speedway and the Nürburgring.
