The 6H Fuji is one of just three permanent circuits on the schedule that were part of the inaugural FIA WEC season and it always finds a way to produce great racing. But there’s no hiding from the fact that one team, one manufacturer, loves Fuji and it’s no surprise who – Toyota. The Japanese auto giant are owners of the circuit, and year after year find a way to score overall victory at their home venue. Of the 12 races, 9 of them have been won by Toyota, two victories have gone the way of Porsche and last year Alpine scored a famous underdog triumph. Bets for this years overall winner? Well statistics might point to the red and white cars once again reigning supreme in the shadow of Mount Fuji, but the 2026 form book and the last two years suggests we might be in for another upset winner.
