🤯🚨 Ford is recalling 223,472 F-150s because improperly secured fuel tanks could potentially detach from the truck while it is being driven. The recall covers certain 2023–2027 F-150s built between January 4, 2023 and August 27, 2026. The problem comes down to the front fuel-tank straps, whose T-slots may not have been properly inserted into the truck’s frame rail during assembly. If those straps are not correctly secured, the tank can loosen and potentially separate from the chassis entirely. Ford says that could result in a fuel leak, engine stall, increased fire risk, or even a detached fuel tank becoming a hazard for traffic behind the truck. Perhaps the craziest part is that Ford says there may be no warning at all before the condition occurs. Ford estimates only around 1% of the recalled trucks actually have the defect, but that still represents thousands of potentially affected F-150s.
