The Mazda CX-90 PHEV is in the three row family SUV class, but it often gets knocked for being somewhat smaller than the competition, such as the Honda Pilot or Toyota Grand Highlander. Considering the Mazda's road manners and interior trim, not to mention its efficient PHEV powertrain, I think some compromise on total cargo space is acceptable. The Mazda CX-90 had plenty of space to take us on a 1000 mile road trip to Louisville Kentucky for a volleyball tournament that lasted four days. If you're children are older and you don't carry as much stuff, the Mazda CX-90 PHEV has more than enough space, and its excellent fuel economy is just an added bonus.
